We believe Christchurch is a church for the whole community and we love to welcome people to come and enjoy their time here, not just on a Sunday, but during the week too.
Exclusively for the over 60s, the popular Mustard Seed Lunch Club normally meets at 12 noon on the 4th Wednesday of each month for a good, 3-course meal costing approximately £5.00. If you would like to come to this, or know someone that would benefit from a good meal and lively company, then just ring the Church Office to book your place. Check the calendar for the dates.
Is open to anyone, the Light Bite is open on the 2nd Wednesday of each month for you to drop in for a light lunch between 12 and 2 pm. There is no need to book for this – just come along and enjoy freshly made sandwiches, salads, and soups.
Held on a Thursday morning, this is aimed at 0-18 months
9.30 -10.15 baby massage, this needs to be booked direct with Building Blocks on
Luton 393440. They will advise specific charges for this.
10.30-11.45 is a drop in ‘stay and play’ £1.00 per session
Our Thirst Cafe is open Tuesday mornings from 9.30 – 12.00 noon (now open over summer!).
Why not pop in for a cup of coffee or tea and a slice of home-made cake, all at very good prices.
The cafe is headed up by Betty who aims to create a relaxed atmosphere where you can have your coffee and read the paper, or if you want to talk then there’s usually someone around. If you want prayer for anything, then that’s fine too…
Our Church is not just used for Church Services – many groups also meet here on a regular basis – Kumon, U3A, Computer, Art, History, Antiqus to name a few – as we have a selection of rooms that are available for hire for meetings, etc.
We do not normally hire the church for birthday parties.
